Being a member of the Houston Surgical Society has many benefits. We  promote and provide camaraderie between surgeons of many subspecialties and recognize each other’s recognitions. We also, encourage surgeons-in-training to be active, as we know that they are the future and we try to nourish that relationship by providing research paper competitions and hope that they find the benefit in attending meetings to network with their future colleagues and also finding the lectures beneficial, as they begin practicing and performing surgery.
